Who Can Join a KTM Motocross Tour in Dubai?
Our standard guided KTM tours are designed for guests with suitable motorcycle experience who can confidently operate the throttle, clutch, gears and brakes. Sand-riding experience is helpful, but the guide can adjust the route and pace after assessing each rider.
You Are Ready to Join If You Can:
Riders do not need to be professional enduro competitors, but they must have enough motorcycle control to participate safely in a guided off-road environment.
Operate a Manual Motorcycle
Use the clutch, gears, throttle and brakes without continuous instructor assistance.
Maintain Balance and Control
Balance the bike at lower speeds and remain in control while seated or standing on the footpegs.
Manage a Physical Activity
Take part in an active off-road experience involving heat, vibration, uneven terrain and physical effort.
Follow the Desert Guide
Maintain safe spacing, follow guide signals and accept route or pace adjustments when required.
Your Guide Assesses Ability Before the Desert Ride
Riders are generally required to be at least 16 years old. Final participation, riding pace and terrain are determined by demonstrated ability, equipment fit, group level and current desert conditions. A guide may move a rider to easier terrain or recommend training when that is the safer option.
Off-road motorcycle riding is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back, neck, heart, mobility or other medical conditions that may be affected by impact, vibration, heat or strenuous activity. Contact the team before booking if you are uncertain.

How Your KTM Motocross Tour Works
Your guided KTM experience follows four clear stages: check in, prepare for the ride, follow your guide through the Lahbab desert and return to the base after the scheduled tour programme.
After check-in, the team fits your riding equipment and provides a safety briefing. Your guide then assesses rider control, selects an appropriate desert route and leads the group until the return to base.

KTM Tour Safety and Rider Requirements
KTM 450cc motorcycles are powerful single-rider off-road bikes. Every guest must meet the basic rider requirements, wear the provided safety equipment and follow the desert guide’s instructions throughout the tour.
Riders are generally required to be at least 16 years old, must have suitable motorcycle control, be physically able to manage off-road riding and accurately declare their experience and relevant medical conditions before participation.
Rider Requirements
Generally 16 Years or Older Final acceptance depends on rider maturity, ability and suitable equipment fit—not age alone.
Suitable Motorcycle Experience Riders should confidently use a manual motorcycle’s clutch, gears, throttle and brakes.
Balance and Physical Control Guests must be able to balance the bike and manage active riding across uneven desert terrain.
Honest Experience Declaration Share your real riding level so the team can recommend an appropriate tour, pace or training session.
Fit the Provided Equipment Participation requires correctly fitted protective gear and the ability to operate the motorcycle safely.
Essential Riding Rules
Wear All Required Safety Gear Helmet, goggles and the supplied protective equipment must remain correctly worn during the riding session.
Follow Guide Signals and Instructions Maintain the required spacing, follow the selected route and stop when instructed by the guide.
No Racing or Unauthorised Riding The activity is a guided desert tour, not an unrestricted race or free-riding session.
No Alcohol or Impairing Substances Guests who appear impaired cannot participate in the motorcycle activity.
Accept Route and Pace Changes Weather, visibility, sand conditions or rider performance may require an easier route, reduced pace or early return.
Prepared Before You Enter the Dunes
Safety procedures reduce risk but cannot remove the inherent risks of off-road motorcycle riding. Listen carefully during the briefing and ask the guide if any instruction or equipment fit is unclear.
When Should You Avoid a KTM Desert Tour?
Off-road motorcycle riding is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with back, neck, heart, serious joint, mobility or other medical conditions that may be affected by impact, vibration, heat or strenuous activity. Contact the team before booking if you are uncertain about your ability to participate safely.
Participation and Route Choice Remain Safety Decisions
The guide may change the terrain, reduce the pace, recommend training or stop participation when a rider cannot safely control the KTM or does not follow instructions. Submit accurate rider details so the team can recommend the correct experience before arrival.
